The Silver Comet Trail in Polk County has
several historical locations including downtown
Rockmart, and the restored Cedartown Depot.
One of the trail's most spectacular attractions
is an 800-foot antique railroad
tunnel constructed in 1912. Brushy Mountain Tunnel is in Paulding County, but is about 2.6 miles east of Coot's Lake Trailhead. Interesting sites in Polk County:
